Château de l’Epervière is an attractive site, situated in a mature woodland in the heart of France’s Burgundy region. This is a quiet haven where the generous emplacements are set amongst ancient oaks, providing plenty of space for the children to explore.
The lake is home to many ducks, and a short stroll leads to a river, the ideal spot for fishing. Cool off with a refreshing swim in the two pools, one of which is covered, or for the ultimate de-stresser, take a relaxing jacuzzi or sauna. There is a delightful restaurant housed in the 16th century château and the cosy bar hosts regular wine tasting sessions. This is an excellent area for walkers and cyclists, so why not hire out some bikes and go exploring?

Travelling from the north,
leave the A6 autoroute at Chalon sur Saône Sud and join the N6 in the direction of Mâcon.
Follow this road until you reach Sennecey le Grand.
Turn left for Gigny-sur-Saône and from here the campsite is signposted, 1km (0.6 mile) south of Gigny-sur-Saône.
Local Area
Château de l’Epervière is located a five minute drive from the small village of Sennecey-le-Grand, a typical Burgundy village, with a small selection of bars and restaurants. The old market town of Tournus, on the banks of the River Saône, is situated nine miles south of site. This is an attractive old town that retains much Medieval charm.
Children will love Touro-Parc, a leisure park with a whole host of activities in Romanèche-Thorins, about an hour’s drive from the site. Archéodrome de Bourgogne is an open-air museum with life size models illustrating the early history of Burgundy, located just outside Beaune.
