Camping Val de Cantobre has been a Canvas favourite for over 30 years. Awarded a prestigious ‘4 red tents’ rating by Michelin, this terraced site has an unrivalled setting, high in the hills, with views towards the cliff-top village of Cantobre. Our emplacements are generally spacious with some offering fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.
The facilities are housed in a beautifully converted mill and include a lovely oak beamed restaurant. The campsites excellent activity programme is extensive, with canyoning, rock-climbing, abseiling and horseriding. The area is excellent for mountain biking and there are organised river treks and walks which the whole family will enjoy.

From the A75;
take exit number 47 "La Cavalerie", then head for Nant on the D999.
At Nant take the D991 to Cantobre.
The campsite is clearly visible 5km (3 miles) along this road on your right.
From the north on the E11;
follow signs to Millau through Aguessac.
After the dual carriageway go straight over the first roundabout.
At the 2nd roundabout take a left turn to Montpellier and follow the road to another small roundabout, take the 3rd exit towards Les Gorges de Dourbie (D991).
Follow through La Roque Ste Marguerite, over the bridge crossing the river. Pass by Cantobre which is on the valley edge and the site is 1km (0.6 mile) up the road on your left.
Local Area
The site lies on the edge of a beautiful national park, half an hour walk or a five minute drive from the town of Nant which has a number of shops, bars and restaurants. The lively town of Millau, with its interesting old quarter, is 17 miles away. The tallest bridge in the world connects the motorway networks at Millau. Sitting 900ft above the river Tarn, this amazing feat of engineering is a must see.
For spectacular scenery, take a boat trip or canoe descent on the river Tarn starting from La Malène, (1hr drive). It’s worth a visit to the ancient, naturally formed rock village of Montpellier-le-Vieux, take the little train into the heart of the site (30min drive from site).
