A natural pine forest location offers a superb, natural backdrop to a holiday spent in the endless sunshine of the Gironde.

Set in an undulating, shady pine forest, this large and impressive parc is peaceful in early season but more lively from late June, with twice weekly discos held in the bar.

There’s plenty to do here, like cycling through the pine forest, but the parc’s most outstanding feature has to be the excellent pool complex with its magnificent waterslides, large swimming area and children’s pools.

You’ll also find all the amenities you’d expect in such a big parc, including a supermarket, takeaway and cash machines, plus a good restaurant in high season. This is also one of France’s top sun holiday areas, with many lovely beaches suitable for fun and games or simply lazing about and enjoying the sun.

From Saintes:

Take the D728, direction Marennes and Ile d’oleron.

After about 20 miles the road becomes the D123.

Continue along the D123, which bypasses the town of Marennes and comes to a roundabout.

Take the second exit sign-posted La Tremblade.

Along this road, you will pass over the Pont de la Seudre (Seudre Bridge).

After crossing the bridge, you will come to a roundabout with a small boat in the middle of it.

Take the second exit signposted for Arvert and Royan on the D25.About 2 miles there is another roundabout, take the first exit sign posted Diree.

Travel through the small village of Diree, continue along this country road eventually passing through a semi-residential area before coming to another roundabout.

At this roundabout take the second exit sign-posted to La Palmyre.

Continue along this road for about 1.5 miles to the roundabout in La Palmyre.

Take the first exit (the campsite is sign-posted), Bonne Anse plage is approximately 2 miles along this road on the left hand side.
