Being only 2 hours from London the cottages make an easy 'get away from it all' holiday location. Visit one of the many beautiful houses and gardens Stourhead (National Trust) is a must and Longleat with its famous Safari Park is great fun for adults and children alike. For those who like a flutter Wincanton Racecourse is just 3 miles away or take the short drive to the South coast with sandy beaches such as Weymouth Lyme Regis Chesil Beach Lulworth Cove & Durdle Door being well worth a visit (all approx 45 min. drive). The cottages are both South facing and offer views over the surrounding garden with its small pond to the fields beyond. Early risers have often spotted local wildlife - frequent visitors include deer foxes and swallows return every year in Summer. Walkers and cyclists are well catered for with circular routes directly from the cottages. Or if that seems too energetic why not take a short drive to one of the many pubs/restaurants or just sit back relax and enjoy the peace & quiet of this beautiful part of the country.Amenities: ample parking. Both cottages have the use of the adjacent laundry room with auto washing machine & tumble drier. Bed linen and towels are included.
