The area is also a wonderful location for mountain biking bird watching and walking. Choose to walk the Glyndwr's Way Cistercian Way or on Offa's Dyke. Close by is the attractive Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells and the Royal Welsh Showground at Builth Wells. Rhayader with its regular livestock markets and spectacular Red Kite feeding station (daily) pottery Welsh Royal Crystal factory and leisure centre with indoor pool and fitness suite. Bustling Hereford's cathedral with its chained library and the Mappa Mundi draws visitors from all over the world. The book town of Hay-on-Wye with its international literary festival (in May) is close by. Other interesting places to visit include the cathedral city of Wells only 7 miles away and Glastonbury with its famous Tor.
