Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Quantocks yet only a few miles from the sandy beach at Blue Anchor this is an ideal base from which to explore the delights of Exmoor National Park. Famous resorts are within easy reach: Minehead for shopping golf mountain bike hire; Porlock popular with riders; pretty Porlock Weir with its small harbour inns and quaint cottages; and Lynton and Lynmouth connected by a unique cliff railway. Exmoor home to herds of red deer and 'Doone country' is wonderful for walkers and riders with miles of foot and cycle paths to enjoy whilst Tropiquaria animal and adventure park the West Somerset Steam Railway (with a station at Watchet) N.T. properties including Dunster Castle and even landrover 'safaris' across the moors are among a host of easily accessible attractions. 1 OF 2 PROPERTIES 13 ACRES HORSES PONIES DUCKS CHICKENS GEESE On Exmoor National Park and nestling on the slopes of the Brendon Hills the farm is in a small hamlet at the head of probably the most beautiful "combe" in the area known as the hidden valley. You can relax in the tranquillity and privacy of the accommodation yet benefit from the proximity of Taunton and Minehead. The farm is approximately 20 minutes from the M5 J25. A short drive from the Somerset coast with beaches at Dunster Minehead and Blue Anchor it is also close to the Devon border giving access to much of North Devon in addition to the range of amenities in Somerset itself. There is a wealth of local attractions for adults and children alike including the marina and wildlife park with its huge pirate ships at Watchet the Norman castle at Dunster windsurfing and sailing on Wimbleball reservoir excursions on Thomas the Tank Engine at West Somerset Steam Railway cider farms as well as the spectacular scenery and wildlife on Exmoor itself best seen by taking a short safari. Among popular attractions within easy reach are Cheddar Gorge Wookey Hole Caves numerous adventure and animal parks Clarks Village and Diggerland. Come rain or shine there is no shortage of things to do or places to go. There are excellent local pubs many with family rooms and some with outdoor play areas for young children. If you require more than the peace and tranquillity Old Holcombe Water provides then you are only a short drive to a variety of sandy beaches and attractions within the county such as Wimbleball Reservoir with its water sports Somerwest World at Minehead The West Somerset Steam Railway Bream Leisure Park Taunton with its high street shops and Exmoor with its wildlife walks beauty and unspoilt charm. There are some excellent local family pubs serving good bar meals. The sympathetically converted accommodation with exposed beams throughout giving a traditional feel offers TWO bedrooms: 1 galleried double and 1 twin downstairs.
