Located in the beautiful Dysynni Valley, Llanegryn is a small, quiet village set in the south of the Snowdonia National Park. Only four miles from the bustling coastal town of Tywyn, Llanegryn is well placed for anyone looking to enjoy the Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Steam Railway. This lovely little transport network boasts a seven mile track with runs through some of the most wonderful countryside in Britain, passing both the stunning Talyllyn Lake and the imposing Mount Cader Idris. Tywyn also boasts a long sandy beach: a favourite with families and water sport enthusiasts, especially surfers. Penbryn Bach is a semi detached cottage that was originally part of a 17th Century, stone-built farmhouse in the village of Tywyn near to Aberdovey in West Wales. With one double bedroom and a bathroom, it is perfect for two people. The cottage also contains a fitted kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with a gas fire. Outside the cottage is off road parking for one car and a front lawned garden plus a rear courtyard area with garden furniture. Just five minutes walk from the beach, Penbryn Bach is a wonderful cottage for a couple looking to spend some time together.
Tywyn is a Victorian town on the coast of North Wales, a typically seaside place, with a promenade, putting green, leisure centre, cinema, restaurants and cafes, not to mention the beach, which is huge, sandy and great for familie, and runs all the way south the the pretty harbour village of Aberdovey. Tywyn is also home to the main station on the Tan-y-Llyn scenic railway. Aberdovey is popular with artists who are drawn to the pastel-coloured cottages and picturesque harbour, while everyone will enjoy the quaint shops, inns and seafood restaurants. There are fine beaches in Aberdovey, and the area has much in terms of swimming, sailing, watersports and fishing opportunities. Bryncrug is a small village with a pub and a shop, which nestles in the Dysynni Valley at the southern end of the Snowdonia National Park. The pastel coloured cottages, welcoming inns, superb restaurants which specialise in local seafood, and little shops are the reason that the village is known as an “artist’s paradise”. Four miles of golden shoreline runs north to the Victorian seaside community of Tywyn, which boasts a promenade, restaurants, fish and chip shops, putting green and leisure centre. Swimmers, sunbathers, surfers, fishermen and water sports enthusiasts all flock to Tywyn for the beaches and the estuary. Brynllech is a Victorian mid terraced cottage situated in a traditional street near the centre of Tywyn near to Aberdovey with views of the Dysynni Valley and the Cader Idris mountain range beyond. Spread over three floors and with four bedrooms (two singles and two doubles), this cottage can sleep six people. The cottage also has a family bathroom, a fitted kitchen, a dining room and a sitting room both with gas fires. To the outside of the cottage is a small yard to the rear and off road parking for two cars. Just five minutes' walk from the town centre and just ten minutes walk from the large sandy beach, Brynllech is a fabulous family holiday cottage in a wonderful location.
The town of Tywyn lies on Cardigan Bay, perched on the end of the imposing Cader Idris mountain range where the landscape tumbles into the sea on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. The promenade and town are all on one level, ideal for that gentle evening stroll by the clear blue water of the Bay. The proximity to mountains and sea means the town also offers a wide variety of activities, from mountaineering to surfing, and the area offers leisurely rambles through the beautiful countryside.
