| Minmore Farm Cottage is a detached, single storey cottage on a working beef and sheep farm just a mile from the village of Shillelagh in County Wicklow. With one double bedroom (with an ensuite wet room) and two twin rooms and a family bathroom, this cottage can sleep six people. Also included in the accommodation are a fitted kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with an open fire. To the outside of the cottage is off road parking for four cars, a private patio, shared use of a lawned area with a children's swing and use of a tennis court. | The village of Shillelagh in County Wicklow is a seventeenth century village, with attractive terraced cottages and a courthouse with clock tower. The Shillelagh stick, a well-crafted blackthorne stick originally used as a fighting weapon but now used as an ornamental or walking stick originated just outside the village. For walkers, the Wicklow Way runs past the village, and the nearby Tomnafinnoge Oak Wood, one of the largest remaining oak woods in Ireland makes for a lovely walk. |
