Thurgarton is situated in rural North Norfolk where the countryside is criss-crossed with quiet lanes for riding a horse or bicycle, and walkers can enjoy the nearby Weavers Way. It is a perfect location for a get-away-from-it-all holiday yet still offers easy access to all of Norfolk's attractions. The traditional seaside resorts of Sheringham and Cromer with their sandy beaches and rock pools are approximately six miles away, or a little further west is the enormous stretch of sand and dunes at Holkham Bay. There are several National Trust properties to visit and Norwich boasts a fine cathedral as well as restaurants, theatres and galleries. The meandering waterways of the Norfolk Broads are only a short drive away.
Woodside Cottage is set in secluded farmland between the villages of Thurgarton and Sustead. It is a charming Victorian brick cottage which has been modernised and well equipped and now offers spacious, attractive and comfortable accommodation for a relaxing family holiday. Boasting its own private walled garden it sits tucked away in the grounds of the owners' home midway between Holt with its boutiques galleries and restaurants and Cromer with its famous end of pier show (both 6 miles) – an ideal location for exploring many of the nearby attractions. The glorious beaches of the north Norfolk coast bird reserves fishing villages Royal Sandringham Blickling Hall (N.T.) and the market town of Aylsham are all within an easy drive as are the Norfolk Broads and Norwich city.
