| Drimdarroch Farm Steading Cottage is a beautiful detached converted steading located on a working farm near the small village of Strachur, which lies on the east shore of Loch Fyne. The open plan kitchen with dining and lounge area has oak flooring and is spacious and light. The kitchen has been completed to a very high standard with corian worktops and sink, soft closing unit doors, large stove style cooker and is very well equipped. The large wooden farmhouse table provides space for everyone to dine together. There is a vaulted ceiling over the lounge area and the gable end is fully glazed to provide a superb view over Loch Fyne. Doors lead onto the patio area, sheltered on one side by an outbuilding, with a great view to the countryside. Downstairs there is a twin bedroom, bunk room and bathroom; with a further two large double bedrooms upstairs, both with en suite facilities. Drimdarroch has been lovingly renovated and tastefully decorated. From the garden you have access across fields to loch side (500 metres). The cottage backs onto the farm yard and you have a lovely westward facing aspect on the other, across farm fields, to the hills beyond and Loch Fyne. The local village shop and small cafe are only a short drive north and there is also a lochside restaurant 3 miles south. Strachur is a great location to explore the surrounding area, there are sea lochs to investigate, mountains to climb, with an abundance of wildlife and history to delve into. The Argyll Forest is on the doorstep, which is part of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and there are numerous forest tracks, marked walks, cycle ways and wonderful waterfalls to find within this area. There are many good eateries within easy driving distance where you can sample this local produce; Loch Fyne Oyster Bar is famous for its sea-food. Strachur House is part of the Scotland Gardens Scheme and is open to the public at certain times of the year. Ian Fleming's character James Bond was said to be inspired by a man who once lived in this area, Sir Fitzroy MacLean, who in 1962 developed the Creggans Inn located in the village of Strachur. The ruins of Old Castle Lachlan can be explored. There are four golf courses close by and many opportunities for a spot of fishing. Take time to visit Dunoon which has a good centre for shopping, leisure facilities and a cinema. Benmore Botanic Gardens is a must see with its avenue of Giant Redwoods and wonderful plants, as is the Ardkinglas Gardens. The Isle of Bute is only a short drive and ferry crossing away and you could visit the fabulous Victorian Gothic Mount Stuart House. Inveraray is also a great day out with the Castle, the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll or a visit to 19th century Inveraray Jail which is great fun for the whole family. The Cowal Peninsula is a fantastic peaceful location to relax in or for the more adventurous, explore and find hidden treasures. |

| Nolands is a lovely cedar clad cottage located in the small village of Strachur, which lies on the east shore of Loch Fyne. The cottage is situated at the end of a quiet lane, set back from the shoreline with a beautiful view of the sea. Nolands has been lovingly renovated and tastefully decorated throughout. The cottage is all on one level with ramped access to the front door. From the master bedroom you can wake up and see the sea. The lounge has a leather suite, wood burning stove and a small balcony outside. From the lounge you are led into the sun room where you can dine or just relax. The sofa bed can sleep a further 2 people and this area can be curtained off from the lounge to make a private space. Leading off from the sun room you can access a decked area which has a chiminea, BBQ and outdoor seating. The kitchen is well equipped with all you need for your holiday. The local village shop is only a 5 minute walk along the lochside and where there is also a small cafe. | In a slightly elevated position with spectacular views over Loch Fyne, this lovely detached holiday cottage is in the scenic village of Strachur. The cottage boasts two conservatories and a sun terrace overlooking the loch. The rear garden is safe for children. The interior is cosy and homely with a lovely charm of its own and all rooms are on one level.The local shop and tea room are across the road and there is a hotel and pub within easy walking distance. There are excellent amenities locally including diving and sea angling on the loch to catch sea trout and mackerel. A few miles away is 'Puck s Glen' a very magical place to stroll with gushing waterfalls and enchanting rock pools. Visitor attractions including Inveraray Castle and Jail make an interesting day out. | Hollybush Cottage is a fantastic semi detached property situated on the loch side within the quiet village of St Catherines, which lies on the east shore of Loch Fyne. The cottage is beautifully presented, with great attention to all detail. The lounge has a wonderful wood burning stove, large leather corner sofa, stunning view from its bay window and patio doors leading out into the garden. Relaxing at the bay window is the ideal place to enjoy the sea view, bird watch, perhaps catch a glimpse of a cruising basking shark, seals or even otters. The open plan dining/kitchen area is well equipped with all that is needed to cater in comfort. Upstairs in the master bedroom is a superb brass king size bed and a lovely window seat providing a beautiful view over to Inveraray and its Castle. The twin bedroom is spacious and has solid oak wood furniture. There is a lovely reading corner at the top of the stairs with a selection of books to choose from. The garden runs down to the sea, with access through a gate onto the rocky shoreline. With direct open access to the sea it is possible to launch a canoe/kayak to explore the coastline or go fishing. The local village of Strachur , which has a small shop/cafe and restaurant with pub, is only a short drive away. St Catherines is a great location to explore the surrounding area.
