There are numerous unspoilt villages to explore with little shops tea rooms galleries and restaurants. An ideal base for exploring the whole area including The English Riviera popular Dartmouth and the city of Plymouth with its cinemas ice skating theatre Hoe Barbican and National Marine Aquarium. Closer to home are the villages of Start Point and East Prawle which is the most southerly point of Devon and home to a popular pub as well as rare birds butterflies and wildlife. Hallsands with its intriguing history and unspoilt cove is a perfect base for walking shore fishing and exploring the coastline as well as East Portlemouth from where you can catch a small ferry to Salcombe.
