To the north of the cottage neighbouring Swaledale can be accessed from the “Buttertubs Pass” as it weaves its way through spectacular scenery. Simonstone has a hotel serving meals and the market town of Hawes 2 miles away has a range of individual shops, craft workshops, ropemakers, country inns, tea shops and the popular Wensleydale Creamery Visitor Centre.
