Walkers or cyclists will enjoy this idyllic location with walks directly from the doorstep, rambles and cycle rides across heather clad moors above Wharfedale, or meanders beside the Leeds-Liverpool Canal. Fishing is also available locally by permit; there is golf, horse riding and a public swimming pool, also within easy reach. Surrounded by open farmland this charming accommodation is close to the attractive village of Kildwick; where there is a pub serving good food. The bustling local market town of Skipton ‘The Gateway to the Dales’ is 6 miles away, where there is a Medieval Castle to visit, interesting shops, pubs restaurants and galleries to browse around, with the whole of the Yorkshire Dales just waiting to be explored. |

| In a truly ‘get away from it all’ secluded setting with panoramic views across the open moors towards Bronte Country and the rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Dales. Dating back to the 1800s The Shippon has been restored to provide a welcoming and comfortable cottage with under floor heating to the ground floor and centrally heated throughout creating a lovely country retreat. Approached along a ¾ mile farm track (a suitable vehicle is required during winter conditions) it is an idyllic location with an expanse of contrasting scenery and even Pendle Hill in the distance. There are lots of local rambles with a bridleway running past the door, or simply relax on warmer days and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this unspoilt corner of Yorkshire. Silsden and Addingham3 miles away both provide a good selection of pubs, restaurants and shops, with the market town of Skipton just a 20 minute drive away. The nearby beauty spots of Bolton Abbey, Grassington, Burnsall and Malham Cove, the Spa towns of Ilkley and Harrogate are within a ½ hour drive. |
