Boasting a huge market square - where a Wednesday market has recently been joined by a popular Saturday market – this charming settlement is set within gently rolling farmland. The town itself provides a good range of crafts, galleries, shops, restaurants and pubs and has become best known as the home to the Black Sheep Brewery – a company which makes over eleven million pints of beer every year. The cottage has retained some original character features such as the old beams and fireplace, but has been recently modernised to include a sunny and spacious conservatory which is an excellent additional living and dining space and overlooks the south facing garden. The bedrooms are all of a good size, and a smaller room to the rear has a full size single bed but would suit a child. The cottage also has the convenience of a modern shower room on the ground floor as well as a family bathroom on the first floor. The patio to the rear is excellent for drinks or dining al fresco and catches the sun most of the day. |

This characterful cottage is a fabulous base offering quality accommodation in which to enjoy this glorious area. |
| The historic market town of Masham is situated in Wensleydale alongside the River Ure surrounded by gently rolling countryside. The town has a huge market place and was the site for annual sheep fairs with some of the animals coming from the Abbeys of Jervaulx and Fountains. The tradition still continues today in September but on a much smaller scale. The town has a good range of shops, restaurants and pubs and there is a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There are many walks in the area including a 10-mile walk along the River Ure which is perhaps one of the best walks in the UK. With so much to see and do, this is a fabulous place for a holiday whatever the time of year. |
