Availability and booking information
Border View is a barn conversion that enjoys lovely views of the valley and hills beyond, just two miles from Kington. This semi-detached holiday home adjoins the owners home which occupies an enviable position on the tree filled slopes of Bradnor Hill, on a 10-acre small holding. The cottage offers accommodation that is ideal for couples enjoying a romantic break or families looking for an enjoyable holiday packed with activities. There are two bedrooms, and an open plan living area on the ground floor with a fitted kitchen and dining and seating areas. Border View has some charming character features such as exposed beams, and outside there is a spacious patio area with a garden, a relaxing place to kick off your shoes after a long day’s sightseeing.
The town lies on the River Arrow, and is overlooked by Hergest Ridge – the musical inspiration of Elgar and Mike Oldfield. Renowned as a popular walking destination, Kington is surrounded by stunning open countryside and rolling hills that provide dramatic panoramic views. There is a good choice of restaurants, shops and pubs in the town, and many visitor attractions for the whole family such as Eastnor Castle, the Offa’s Dyke path and the Mortimer Trail. Charming Hay-on-Wye, famous for its annual literary festival and many book, craft and antique shops, is nearby, as is Hereford, known for its incredible Norman cathedral and 13th century Mappa Mundi.
