The area is a haven for watersport activities with wind surfing, kite and wake boarding particularly popular around Poole harbour. Further water sport activities can also be found in the surrounding area and including yacht and sailing clubs or the option to hire a motor boat and explore for yourself. Sandy beaches can be found just a 15 minute drive away at Sandbanks and Branksome Chine.
For those looking for more land based inspiration then the area is ideal for exploring by foot or peddle power. The New Forest, only a 30 minute drive away, is a haven for walking and cycling routes whilst a short trip on the Sandbanks ferry provides the option for exploring the historic Purbeck Hills.
