On the edge of an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ there are footpaths straight from the doorstep. Situated next to the owner's house, the barn has been lovingly converted using traditional methods and materials with ecological principles in mind. Stone features and open beamed ceilings combine beautifully with modern modern living to give warmth and comfort in the heart of wild and wonderful countryside. Insulated with sheep wool for warmth, a wind turbine provides electricity, and an Eco friendly ‘Pellet Boiler’ provides the heating and hot water. A natural reed bed cleans the waste and provides clean water for the wild life pond. Bluebell banks in the spring and wild flower meadows in the summer, buzzards, swallows, curlew and lapwing overhead provide all the ingredients of a memorable idyllic holiday location . |
