| The cottage which is situated on a small working farm was built in the 1700's and was originally part of the main farm house. It benefits from a stunning location at Waberthwaite 4.5 miles from the beach and sea in the Western Lake District and with the beautiful Eskdale Valley on the doorstep. This little hamlet has a pub providing good food, a shop and post office on Woodall's farm which is famous for it's Cumberland sausage and bacon, by appointment of the Royal Family. Row farm has 175 acres, most of which guests are free to walk across, and breeds suckler cows and sheep. The farmer is happy to show guests round and children will love the spring time when sheep are lambing and the cows are calving. |

This lovely seaside cottage is adjacent to the harbour and the beach in the village of Haverigg sure to be a hit with the children with miles of Sandy beaches including SSS1 class dunes to play or walk the dog. With the Lake District National Park on the doorstep there is a wonderful variety of scenery to explore and enjoy as well as being excellent for bird watching, with an RSPB hide a short walk away. Adults and children alike will enjoy a ride on the 'Laal Ratty' miniature railway in Eskdale and a trip around Muncaster Castle and grounds. The Harbour Hotel in Haverigg has a beer garden and serves bar meals, there is also a village store, beach side cafe and chip shop which are open all year round.
The town of Millom is 2 miles, with 2 good restaurants, an Italian and an award winning Thai restaurant, there is also the towns of Ulverston - 17 miles and Whitehaven - 25 miles.

Nook Cottage is a lovely well stocked Lake District cottage with a coal fire and enclosed courtyard and garden. It is an ideal base for families to relax and have fun on Silecroft beach or explore the western lakes and fells.
Silecroft lies in the quiet South Eastern corner of the Lake District National Park nestling between the sea and Black Coombe. Wordsworth described the area as "where the mountains meet the sea". The fabulous and challenging Black Coombe can be tackled by walking from the front door, the other lakes and mountains are only a short scenic drive away.
The spacious sand and cobblestone beach is great for walking dogs and watching other activities on the beach such as pony trekking, sea fishing and kite surfing. There is also a golf course by the beach there is no need to stray far, unless of course you wish explore this beautiful corner of England. There is a pub in the village which serves food with more amenities in Millom and Haverigg each 3 miles away.
