Reached by causeway the island is a favourite with the sailing fraternity and famous for the quality of its fish and oysters – 'The Company Shed' restaurant enjoys a fine reputation and the oyster bar should not be missed. Constable Country lies a mere 30 minutes' drive away and Colchester's castle and fine shopping are just 8 miles distant. The nearby country club offers golf and a health spa and shops and pubs are a 500 yard stroll.
