| Wonderful Sunnymede is a stone built terraced cottage which dates back to the 18th century. Sunnymede is located in a hamlet called Ellingstring, just five miles from the market town of Masham. The cottage has been brilliantly restored and retains some original features such as old beams and feature fireplaces. Sunnymede sleeps up to six people and has three bedrooms - one double, one twin and one adult bunks. The cosy sitting room and dining room have lovely open fires, which are perfect to relax next to. Sunnymede also has an excellent kitchen and bathroom. The cottage has front and rear gardens and off road parking for two cars. There are many beautiful villages and towns nearby that have something for everyone. Sunnymede is a fantastic base for families or friends wanting to explore this part of Yorkshire. |
Situated in stunning Wensleydale alongside the pretty River Ure is the lovely market town of Masham. Two markets - one on Wednesday and one on Saturday occur within the lovely market square. Masham has many shops, galleries, restaurants and pubs and is also home to the famous Black Sheep
Brewery. There are also many walks in the area, including a fabulous ten mile walk along the Ure. Just one mile away is the magnificent Jervaulx Abbey. The bustling towns of Ripon, Harrogate and Thirsk are also nearby and worth a visit. The breathtaking Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks are a short drive away. The nearby town of Masham is situated alongside the River Ure and boasts a market square, where a Wednesday market has been joined by a popular Saturday market.
