| This traditional cottage, just a couple of minutes' walk from the beach which overlooks the Isle of Arran, is a great place from which to explore the south-west coast of Scotland; with a mixture of sandy and rocky bays running its length. You can walk from this holiday cottage to Culzean castle (NTS) Country Park and just over 1 mile away is the Championship Turnberry Golf Course. Ayr is 15 miles north with good shopping and cafes and it is just another mile to Alloway the National Heritage Centre (NTS) of Robert Burns. Day excursions can be taken to Ireland from Stranraer or to Arran from Ardrossan. Relax in the sunny garden with summer house and enjoy the view from the master bedroom over the Firth of Clyde. Restaurant only a stroll away shop 200 yards. |

The lovely harbour village of Maidens situated on the largely unexplored coastline of southwestern Scotland and just 1½ miles from magnificent golf at Turnberry is the enviable location for this lovingly restored fisherman's bothy. Boasting its own private decked sitting out area it is surrounded by the owners' pretty garden complete with pond whilst the harbour village green and coastline abundant with birdlife are almost on the doorstep. Close by Culzean Castle is well worth a visit as are Souter Johnnie's Cottage at Kirkoswald and the Burns National Heritage Centre at Alloway. Trips to the island of Arran depart from Ardrossan and day excursions to Northern Ireland from Stranraer are easily possible. Troon is 20 miles. An excellent restaurant is within a short stroll and Maidens has a village shop.
