| Beechwood is a lovely detached bungalow sitting on the hillside overlooking Loch Awe village. This property provides great family living accommodation with a large, bright lounge, a spacious kitchen and two good sized bedrooms, plus a bathroom and a shower room. The lounge has an open fire, a comfortable leather suite and a bay window with a stunning view westwards of the loch and east towards Ben Lui. The kitchen is well equipped and has a large amount of storage space. With a view down the loch, the generous sized master bedroom has a king size bed and also a guest bed which can be set up as a single or twin. The second bedroom has two single beds and looks onto the back garden and hillside behind. The mature garden has some lovely trees, shrubs and a rolling lawn. From the front patio area you can sit and enjoy the view and watch village life pass by. With close proximity to essential amenities; only a minutes walk from the local village shop, post office, a hotel and pub with restaurant. Also the train station is only five minutes giving easy access to explore this beautiful region. This idyllic central location is great for exploring to the historical Kilmartin Glen, the west coast and north to Glen Coe. The surrounding area has lots to offer all ages and interests. There is fishing on Loch Awe, famous for brown trout and pike - or go salmon fishing on the River Orchy. Explore the loch by hiring a boat or relax and take the steamboat in the summer months. Dalmally has a 9 hole golf course (2 miles) and there is an 18 hole course at Oban. The surrounding countryside offers an abundance of wildlife to spot, deer are on the hiillside and birds of prey soaring high in the sky. Argyll is fantastic for walkers and climbers and just behind the property is the Beinn Cruachan group of mountains, which has 7 peaks all over 3,000 feet (ideal for Munro baggers!). Cruachan (3 miles) is famous as the "Hollow Mountain" and is home to a hydro scheme built deep into the mountain and a reservoir high above - a unique attraction for all the family. This area is steeped in history with the ruins of Kilchurm Castle and Conan's Kirk.
