Situated in the south east corner of County Wexford, Kilmore Quay is a small fishing village just 14 miles from Wexford town and 12 miles from the international ferry port of Rosslare. Famous for its whitewashed thatched cottages, this is a town of contrast, highlighted by its state-of-the art marina. This fusion of a traditional and modern Irish community is also an established angling centre with numerous species of fish in abundance. With an annual seafood festival held in July, anglers and food-lovers are well catered for. The wider area also offers many opportunities for diving, the seas from Hook Head to Carnsore Point being renowned as "the graveyard of a thousand ships". The region also boasts a host of unspoiled sandy beaches within easy reach of the village, whilst Ballyteigue offers beautiful walks along some of the best sand dunes in the southeast of the country.

Kilmore Quay is a fishing village situated in the south east corner of County Wexford. Most striking is the number of thatched cottages lining the village street and most of these can be dated back to the 18th and 19th Centuries, and have been designated sites of Significant National Importance. Kilmore Quay is renowned as an angling centre that goes back to the turn of the century. Here, the waters are plentiful and offer you the opportunity to catch bass, cod, shark, tope, ling, mackerel, bream, pollock, skate and whiting. The area also offers the keen diver a fabulous location for diving, as the seas from Hook head to Carnsore point have long been known as the 'graveyard of a thousand ships'. Along with the Saltee Islands, the stretches of natural sand dunes are some of the features that make Kilmore Quay unique in Europe and beloved of visitors and locals.
