| The Old Post Office is a lovely detached property located in the heart of the small village of Furnace. The village sits on the side of Loch Fyne, a long, deep sea loch renowned for its fantastic wealth of sea-life. It is named after the old Victorian furnace which is now a ruin and managed by Historic Scotland. The Old Post Office is over 250 years old and is a lovely stone built property with thick walls. The open plan ground floor has a fully fitted kitchen with double Belfast sinks and breakfast bar, leads to the lounge and dining area. Then into the wonderful light conservatory which has patio doors out into the enclosed south facing back garden. From the lounge you are led upstairs via a feature black metal spiral staircase, to three bedrooms with high coombed ceilings. With close proximity to local amenities, you are only a short stroll next door to the local Inn which has a pub and restaurant, the village shop provides all the essentials you require. The surrounding area has lots to offer all ages and interests. There is great sea fishing on Loch Fyne and the small jetty in Furnace makes an ideal spot to cast a line and is only a short stroll from The Old Post Office. Diving is also very popular in the area. Inveraray and Lochgilphead both have 9-hole golf courses. Argyll is fantastic for walkers and from the centre of Furnace itself, there are waymarked routes for both walking or cycling. The Auchindrain Townfolk open air museum is only a few miles outside of Furnace. Inveraray's attractions include the Inverary Castle and 19th century Jail. The marvelous countryside and coastline in this area offers an abundance of wildlife from red deer on the hills to eagles soaring high in the sky. Crarae Gardens (NTS) has an amazing 50 acres of woodland gardens. This ideal central location means you can enjoy exploring the surrounding countryside and outdoor activities. |

| This charming lochside cottage is idyllically located within the historic conservation burgh of Inveraray and enjoys beautiful views of majestic Loch Fyne. The cottage is on the ground floor of a terrace known as 'Crombie's Land' - a listed building dating back to the early 1800's, where Neil Munro, the famous Scottish novelist and poet was born. Lovingly and sympathetically restored, the cottage has been beautifully furnished and finished with maple flooring and a mix of modern and antique styles to give it a romantic feel. There is parking just outside and a garden seat to enjoy the view. The property may suit visitors in standard wheelchairs or those with walking difficulties. All the amenities of the town are just a few minutes walk - there are some lovely restaurants and hotels serving excellent local produce as well as lively bars and the popular attraction, 'Inveraray Jail', is adjacent. 1 hour's drive from Glasgow, this very central location is an ideal touring base for the mid-western Highlands and is surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Glencoe, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. | Pansy Cottage is a quaint detached property located in the heart of the small village of Furnace. The village sits on the side of Loch Fyne, a long deep sea loch renowned for its fantastic wealth of sea life. Over 100 years old, Pansy Cottage was formerly the pump house for the local stone built iron furnace, hence the village's name. The 150 year old furnace is now a ruin and managed by Historic Scotland. The pump house was converted and extended into a comfortable, cosy home. The lounge/diner has traditional thick walls and a cosy wood burning stove. Leading off from the lounge is the master double bedroom , which enjoys the luxury of en suite facilities. The kitchen is well equipped. The front garden area is south facing and grassy. With close proximity to local amenities, the local inn which has a pub and restaurant and the village shop provides all the essentials within a gentle stroll. The surrounding area has lots to offer all ages and interests. There is great sea fishing on Loch Fyne and the small jetty in Furnace makes an ideal spot to cast a line. | Peacefully situated by the shores of Lochgair, in a sheltered bay off Loch Fyne and enjoying magnificent views across the water, this traditional cottage is ideal for larger groups or extended families. The spacious interior is unpretentious with comfortable furnishings and a cosy, homely ambience. Children will appreciate their own 'snug' with games, television etc. The large garden overlooking the loch is also great fun for children (supervision required with young children) and there is a patio area with garden furniture and a barbecue. The deep water mooring can be used by prior arrangement with the owner.
