Within twelve miles are the glorious sandy beaches of Sea Palling, Waxham and Winterton, whilst N.T. Blickling Hall - a venue for many concerts, and the picturesque fishing villages, bird reserves and seal watching boat trips of the North Norfolk Coast are an easy drive. BeWilderwood, the treetop adventure park is a must for the children and the medieval city of Norwich - with its castle, cathedral, museums, fine shops and restaurants is just ten miles. Glorious sandy beaches at Sea Palling Waxham and Winterton are within 12 miles and the National Trust properties of Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall picturesque fishing villages bird reserves and seal watching boat excursions off the North Norfolk coast are all within an easy drive as is Bewilderwood an imaginative treehouse adventure park that is a firm family favourite. The medieval city of Norwich with its magnificent cathedral castle museum cobbled streets galleries theatres cinemas and excellent shopping opportunities lies just 9 miles away.

Wroxham and Hoveton are at the very heart of Broadland, and are excellent locations for fishing, sailing and bird watching. The River Bure divides the two villages, commonly called Wroxham. It is home to the Bure Valley Railway, Wroxham Barns and Roys, 'the biggest village store in the world'. Both day boat hire and sailing tuition are available locally. It is also just eight miles from Norwich, with the sandy beaches of the East Coast a twenty minute drive away.
Hoveton Hall is a stately early 19th century house surrounded by extensive parkland. The East Wing is self-contained with large and sunny rooms, decorated and furnished in traditional style. The three spacious bedrooms can easily accommodate six people. However, by closing off two of the bedrooms, we are also able to offer the Wing at a reduced price for two people. Hoveton Hall Gardens has fifteen acres of formal and informal gardens for guests to enjoy throughout the seasons at no extra charge. The gardens are interlaced with streams that lead to a lake.
