This cottage is an idyllic haven for a small family or a group of friends. For the winter months, there is oil-fired, under-floor heating which makes the cottage a toasty place to be. In summer, the only place to be is outside in the large, lawned garden that offers ample opportunity for a good, old-fashioned barbeque.
Situated in the heart of the Blackdown Hills is the traditional Devon village of Upottery. The Blackdown Hills have been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offer excellent opportunities for bird watchers, walkers and wildlife enthusiasts. The ‘otter’ in the village’s name is taken from the nearby River Otter. In 2006, Upottery won the ‘Best Kept Village in Devon’ and remains a well-tended, well-looked after hamlet that is radiant with flowers in the summer months. History enthusiasts and amateur archaeologists will welcome a chance to visit the fossil beaches of Lyme Regis and Charmouth, part of the West Country’s Jurassic Coast. You can easily spend a day here with a fossil-hammer, collecting ammonites, or simply enjoying the rugged coastline. 23 miles away from Upottery, you will find the Cathedral City of Exeter. Exeter is an historic city, boasting original Roman walls, underground passages and a 10th Century Cathedral. In addition, it is well-served by a fantastic shopping centre and a wide range of bars and restaurants to choose from

One of three Primrose Farm cottages that visitors can hire, this stone barn has been lovingly converted to offer accommodation for groups of up to four people. For the chilly winter months, Greenfields has been installed with under-floor heating, while a raised deck area provides ample opportunity for al fresco dining in the summer months. It is an end-of-terrace cottage and has been delightfully decorated throughout. There is off-road parking for up to 2 cars, and the local pub is just over a mile away.
Upottery is a pretty village, situated in the heart of the Blackdown Hills. The surrounding area has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers excellent opportunities for bird watching, riverside walks and spotting wildlife. The village takes its name from the River Otter which runs a stone’s throw from the village and also lends its name to a local beer. Upottery won the ‘Best Kept Village in Devon’ in 2006 and has maintained the standards that won it that title. Thirteen miles away, you can find the fossil beaches of Lyme Regis and Charmouth, part of the West Country’s Jurassic Coast. The town of Honiton is just five miles away, whilst the Cathedral City of Exeter is a 20-minute drive. Exeter has all the amenities you would expect from any city, including a fantastic shopping centre and a broad range of bars and restaurants to choose from.
