Great Plumstead is a small rural village just five miles east of the cathedral city of Norwich and is centrally located for enjoying the diverse range of attractions in the area including the Broads. Meander by boat through the waterways and enjoy lunch at one of the numerous riverside pubs. The East Coast is just a short distance away with its sandy beaches and the traditional seaside resort of Great Yarmouth. Norwich with its culture, castle, theatre, cafes and shopping opportunities is not to be missed. The area is excellent for enjoying bird watching and exploring wildlife at a wide variety of fens including our own adopted charity, Wheatfen.
Holly Cottage is a stylish comfortable cottage full of original features such as pamment floors, a Rayburn that keeps the kitchen cosy, latch doors and exposed beams in some rooms. There is a spacious garden in which to relax and the summer house provides a perfect retreat on cooler days. This is an ideal cottage from which to explore the surrounding area: Strumpshaw Fen RSPB Reserve is only seven miles away and the National Trust properties of Blickling Hall and Felbrigg are within easy reach.
