Situated just off the village square, Theatre Cottage has been renovated to a high standard and was once an old stone barn which many years ago was where local and travelling players performed plays - hence the name. The lovely village of Grassington, famous for its Dickensian weekends in December, Arts Festival in June and regular arts & crafts and antiques fairs, offers interesting little shops, pubs and eating places. Just 3 miles up the dale is Kilnsey Crag and trout farm, fishing and pony trekking. The town of Skipton (10 miles) hosts a market four days each week. The cottage provides an ideal base for pleasant strolls along the banks of the River Wharfe, cycling and superb fell walking in the National Park. To the rear of the cottage there is a lovely south facing, private enclosed patio and garden.

The renowned Dales Way passes close by and helps to make this amongst the best areas for walking in the country. Kettlewell itself is located on the banks of the River Wharfe and is composed of traditionally built stone cottages, two excellent pubs, a post office, speciality shops and a hotel. The town was also the location of the hit film, ‘Calendar Girls’, which used a variety of picturesque spots from around the region.
