1 OF 2 LODGES 135 ACRES FISHING LAKE These beautifully finished Scandinavian lodges are situated in the heart of Dorset's striking countryside where uninterrupted views of the fishing lake a small rowing boat is available for hire and surrounding countryside can be appreciated from both the veranda and balcony of both lodges. They are easily accessible making them an ideal base throughout the year for a weekend break or a touring holiday. Dorset has something for everyone with countless picturesque villages the market towns of Shaftesbury and Gillingham and the historic cities of Salisbury and Bath. There is a wide selection of attractions including Longleat Safari Park 15 minute drive and Stourhead House and Gardens and much more. The farm offers access to a wealth of beautiful countryside walks from all directions and wonderful riding in the Stourhead Estate is just a 5 minute drive. Both lodges are finished to a very high standard and have been carefully positioned to ensure maximum privacy. Leisure facilities: try your hand at coarse fishing in the well stocked lake (reasonable daily or weekly charges apply and family concessions available) or take your golf clubs and have a go at the 4 hole pitch and putt (limited golf clubs are available). There is also a shared croquet lawn along side the golf course. Amenities: private entrance with ample off-road parking. Bed linen towels and electric included. Night storage heaters downstairs and wall panel heaters in the bedrooms. Regret no smoking. Location: pubs within 1.5 miles shops 2 miles and village shop within walking distance (1 mile) Bournemouth's sandy beach 45 minute drive. Arrival: 3pm.Willow Lodge offers THREE bedrooms: 1 double with TV en-suite bathroom with bath hand-held shower and WC and a french door opening onto the balcony with seating 1 twin and a separate WC. Downstairs adult bunk bedroom (on request the top bunk can be removed to create a single room for disabled or elderly only). Bathroom: downstairs opposite the bunk room with there is a shower installed over the bath hand-held shower and WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: open plan with SkyTV DVD and hi-fi. Kitchen area with an electric cooker microwave fridge and dishwasher. Utility area: with washing machine tumble dryer and ample of room for coats. Outside: veranda with a table chairs and BBQ. Immediately in front of the lodge is a fully enclosed garden where children can play safely. Amenities: 2 medium-size well behaved non-aggressive dogs welcome (the dogs must not be left unattended at any time inside the property however the lodge does have a large kennel with outside run provided).The other property at Whistley is WHISR.

Brook Cottage was originally built as a barn, but has been tastefully converted to offer accommodation for four people; ideal for small families or a small party of friends. The cottage has been built over a brook and has retained much of its original character through the exposed beams that can be found throughout. All the accommodation is laid out over one level an there is a large, enclosed patio area beside the stream; perfect for enjoying a spot of al fresco dining in the long, summer evenings. There is off-road parking for 1 car and the local amenities are a mere 10-minute walk from the front door.
Close to the border of Wiltshire and Somerset, Milton on Stour is only a short drive from the town of Gillingham. It is close to a number of major attractions, including Longleat House, the historical mansion and safari park that is owned by the eccentric Marquis of Bath. Nearby Gillingham hosts its own festival each year, comprising a range of musical styles, arts, crafts and sports activities. The National Trust owns many properties in the area and they are all worth a visit; Stourhead is a world-famous 18th Century landscape garden and Palladian mansion with enchanting temples, monuments and rare plants set around a tranquil lake. Alternatively, you might like to see a show at the Up In Smoke Theatre or spend a day at the Haynes Motor Museum.

The Old Chapel was fully re-built in 2008 to replicate the original wooden structure dating back to 1867, and has been featured in the press locally and nationally, on TV's 'Homes Under The Hammer' and in 'Dorset Life' magazine because of its interesting and unusual appearance and interior. This detached former chapel is situated in the peaceful rural hamlet of Huntingford and features a stunning timber-clad interior, with a high beamed, vaulted ceiling and splendid galleried landing overlooking the living area. The whole property has a light, airy and spacious ambience. The accommodation includes one attractive eaves bedroom, a fitted kitchen and bathroom at the rear, and a living area which includes sitting and dining areas and a warming wood burner. The Old Chapel provides fabulous holiday living in a glorious part of the country.
Situated in the midst of splendid unspoiled countryside on the borders of Dorset and Wiltshire, Huntingford is also close to the famous attractions of Longleat House and Safari Park with its lions, and the historic hilltop town of Shaftesbury (made famous by the original Hovis advert). The mysterious stone circle of Stonehenge, the stunning cathedral city of Salisbury, Wilton House and Dorset’s incredible Jurassic Coast are all a little further afield, but still easily accessible.
