Gayton is an excellent base for discovering the many and varied attractions of North West Norfolk. The beach at Snettisham is eleven miles away and a little further along the coast is the popular seaside resort of Hunstanton which, as well as the sandy beach, has seafront entertainment. The Sandringham Estate is just eight miles away. The village itself has shops, a fish and chip shop and two pubs which serve food. Further amenities including shops, restaurants, a cinema and a sports centre are available at Kings Lynn, which is eight miles away. Built in traditional coach-house style, this detached cottage houses two properties, one of which is now offered for holiday letting.
