Nestling in a rural setting the converted loft is a few hundred yards walk from the village which has a 12th century pub whilst the Saints Way passes the property and offers excellent walking. The market town of Lostwithiel is close with shops restaurants and pubs as well as Restormel Castle which overlooks the River Fowey and makes a pleasant location for a picnic. The beautiful harbour of Fowey is also within easy reach where the renowned author Daphne Du Maurier lived. A festival is held each May which is a celebration of her life and work. Fowey Regatta week (August) is a popular event with competitive sailing events street carnival the Red Arrows display team and much more. The picturesque and unspoilt harbour of Charlestown is also worth a visit. Farthings is a charming three bedroom cottage (plus childs room with childs bed) located in a desirable location right on the beach at Ready Money Cove in Fowey. It has good access to the National Trust Coastal Path, Fowey town centre, which is about a 10 minute walk away and the beach, which is 30 yards away.

It is situated in an idyllic location in Cornwall with easy access to many of the County's excellent attractions including the Eden Project , The Lost Gardens of Heligan and popular coastal towns such as Carlyon Bay, Charlestown and Mevagissey, making it the perfect holiday home to explore Cornwall.

Fowey holds many events throughout the year including the popular Fowey Royal Regatta and the Daphne du Maurier literary festival. There are many good local restaurants, cafes, bars and shops to choose from in the centre of Fowey and if you feel like a day on the water you can hire kayaks and boats or join a boat or sailing trips.

The dramatic views of the South Cornwall coast and countryside can be enjoyed from the many National Trust coastal walks which can be accessed directly opposite the cottage.
