Set in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Dentdale is the smallest and probably the loveliest dale with pretty riverside walks and country lanes. Clarks Cottage has footpaths leading to the hills and fells from the doorstep, and the Three Peaks are nearby for the more adventurous. Dent has everyday shopping, tearooms, craft shops and country inns serving meals. The Settle - Carlisle Railway stops at Dent Station and the whole of the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District are within easy reach. |

The village has a couple of pubs – one being the Dent Brewery tap - as well as a village shop and tea rooms, with further shopping at nearby Kirkby Lonsdale, Kendal, Hawes and Sedbergh book town. With walks in every direction from the property there will be something to suit all abilities – try the Flintergill Nature Trail, a river walk or a more strenuous climb up the dale side. The famous Three Peaks are also easily accessible. The Lake District is only 17 miles away for an easy day trip with the delights of the Yorkshire Dales National Park all close by. Dent also has a stopping point on the scenic Settle to Carlisle Railway, a lovely day trip full of excellent views. |
