Hill Cottage, originally a 17th century farmhouse, is situated in the centre of the delightful village of Crosthwaite in the Lyth valley. Crosthwaite is an ideal point from which to explore the Windermere and South Lakes area and, with walks right from the door; Hill Cottage is an ideal base for walkers.
The Punch Bowl Inn, recently refurbished and recommended by several Good Pub Guides is located in the village, and there are several other pubs within a few minutes drive, all serving excellent food and beer.
Hill Cottage is a charming and spacious property, a real home from home, and has been well prepared for letting to ensure all modern day comforts combine well with original character features. The large garden is a delight at any time of the year, the ground floor double bedroom enjoying French doors directly to the outdoors, this room particularly suitable for those with limited mobility. |

It is nestled beside Whitbarrow Scar, a national reserve with great views of the surrounding hills. Ideal for enjoying leisurely walks from the door Broad Rayne is well situated for exploring Kendal, Bowness and the busier Lakes resorts by car. And after a day of walking or sightseeing, there are three excellent country pubs within easy reach, The Hare and Hounds and The Mason's Arms at Bowland Bridge and the Punchbowl at Crosthwaite, all offering excellent food.
Broad Rayne is a comfortable home, furnished in a traditional style and blessed with a lovely outlook from all windows. Three good bedrooms with en suite to the twin should suit most parties, the dual aspect lounge is spacious enough for all to sit back, relax and take in the warmth from the wood burning stove as well as the views.
