This Grade II listed detached farmhouse set in a rural location has been renovated to a very high standard retaining a wealth of original features that will make your stay extremely special. Situated in Wambrook a peaceful unspoilt village in the Blackdown Hills yet centrally located for visiting Somerset Dorset and Devon. You will have a vast choice of walks and cycle routes to enjoy and explore. Chard is just 2 miles away and has a wide variety of shops and the town has many interesting buildings and is well served with places to eat and drink. The Jurassic Coastline is easily accessible by car and the excellent beaches of Charmouth and Lyme Regis are a 25 minute drive. The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 king-size double accessed via a lobby that has a door to a shower room with WC and a door to the landing 1 further twin can be a super-king double on request with en-suite bath with mixer shower and WC (due to the listed status a raised floor had to be added making the ceiling 5'8" in places) and 1 further twin bedroom with en-suite shower and WC. Both twin bedrooms have low doorways measuring approximately 5'9". The ground floor retains the original flagstone flooring (uneven in parts) which has been softened with rugs the kitchen has oak flooring and underfloor heating. The entrance hall has a low beam and ceiling and the 4 doorways off measure approximately 5'4". Lounge: with woodburner flatscreen TV and DVD. Leads into a smaller hall and the snug room which is a step down making the ceiling height normal with flatscreen TV DVD and a sofa bed for 2 further guests by arrangement only. Kitchen/diner: with woodburner set in an inglenook fireplace electric range cooker microwave fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Utility room: step down from snug into this room with washing machine tumble dryer and a WC. Outside: accessed from the hall spacious enclosed garden with patio seating and BBQ.
