This sympathetically converted detached barn is situated in a quiet hamlet just two miles from the town of Belper. Full of character, this property boasts beams throughout as well as an attractive sitting room and two cosy bedrooms – both with sloping ceilings and en-suite facilities. The cottage is located close to the owner’s home and enjoys superb views of the countryside, as well as close proximity to the local amenities within Belper town centre. Visitors interested in walking can also take advantage of the number of trails that lead from the area around the property.
Situated in the Derwent Valley, the little town of Belper boasts a long and famous history dating back to the 13th Century. Originally called Beaurepaire - beautiful retreat - this is now a vibrant and bustling town full of attractions such as the North Mill, Long Row and the River Gardens. Just 10 miles away is the popular Peak District town of Matlock which, together with its neighbour Matlock Bath, is set in the beautiful wooded gorge of the River Derwent. The Matlocks offer a wide selection of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as a host of other exciting attractions. Incredible views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car, which takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham - a great place for all the family with many different activities on offer. South of Belper is the start of the High Peak Cycle Trail, and to the north is the market town of Bakewell and Chatsworth House.

Hillside Cottage is a storey detached cottage is located near to the centre of the Derbyshire town of Belper. The cottage has two double bedrooms and one twin which with the addition of a family bathroom make it suitable for six people. Also in the cottage are a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with a dining area and a gas fire. To the outside of the cottage is off road parking for three cars and a patio and lawn with outdoor furniture. Situated close to the town centre, yet just a short drive from the magnificent Peak District, Hillside Cottage is a lovely holiday home from which to explore this part of the country.
Belper is a town dating back to the 13th Century. Now a spirited and bustling town, attractions include the North Mill, Long Row and the River Gardens. Just 10 miles away is the popular Peak District town of Matlock which offers a range of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as a whole host of other exciting attractions.

Situated in the Amber Valley, Turnditch is a charming hillside village in Derbyshire. The village has a church and two public houses and the neighbouring village of Hulland Ward has a petrol station, post office and a shop, providing most amenities visitors will need. The market towns of Belper and Ashbourne are close by for more shops and restaurants and other attractions in the area include walking and cycling trails and water sports at Carsington Water with fishing available on the River Derwent. Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House and Park are within easy reach, and there are many lovely towns and villages in the Peak District. The village of Turnditch makes an ideal base to discover the stunning Peak District and surrounding area all year round and is a great place for a holiday.
