Set within a central location in the picturesque village of Winster, this lovely, stone-built Georgian property is situated within the Peak District National Park. The cottage has been tastefully renovated to retain much of its original character and as a result offers warm, welcoming accommodation over three floors. With beamed ceilings, sash windows, traditional lime-plastered walls, a "kite-winder" staircase and a wood-burning stove set into a fabulous fire place, the cottage retains many of its original features. The property is well served by local amenities, however Bakewell, Matlock and Ashbourne are all near by for wider shopping facilities.
With an impressive 17th Century market house at its centre, the conservation village of Winster is situated within the Peak District National Park. This extremely pretty location is mostly composed of three main streets - Main Street, East Bank and West Bank boasting imposing 18th Century farm houses, nearly all of which are at least three storeys tall. Off the main street visitors can find the slightly less grand though equally fascinating 'ginnels', or alleyways. The village still holds a number of traditional events throughout the year, such as a pancake race every Shrove Tuesday and the annual Wakes festivities which take place in June, as well as events hosted by the local Morris dancers. The village boasts ample of essential amenities too - a post office/gift shop, a well stocked grocer's shop and two pubs both serving food and local traditional beers.

With two double bedrooms and one twin as well as a family bathroom, this cottage can sleep six people. The rest of the accommodation is made up of a well equipped kitchen, a summer room with a dining table and a sitting room with a woodburning stove in the inglenook fireplace. Outside the cottage is a small rear yard and a front seating area overlooking the river. The village of Baslow lies at the north end of stately Chatsworth House.
