| This very attractive modern bungalow is nicely situated in a very quiet residential area of this pretty country town, within easy walking distance of the town centre. There are views to the hills and the interior is particularly spacious, well decorated and comfortably furnished in traditional style. The bungalow stands in an attractive, mature garden with garden furniture to sit out and relax in. Auchterarder is a small peaceful town with good facilities and a selection of excellent shops, pubs, restaurants and hotels. It is off the main road at the gateway to the Highlands and is an excellent base for touring with Perth, Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh all less than an hour's drive and the magnificent scenery of the Trossachs and Highland Perthshire nearby.There are numerous recreational amenities in this popular area including excellent golf courses (Gleneagles nearby), a range of watersports at Loch Earn, fishing, hillwalking and interesting Scottish history to be explored.1 double, 1 twin and 1 single bedroom (cot available), sitting room with feature fireplace, kitchen with table to seat 5, dining room, study room, bathroom with bath and separate shower, cloakroom, w.c. | Originally built as a stable for the main house in 1850 and converted to a dwelling in 1925, this detached stone built cottage has been fully refurbished and has much traditional charm. The open plan interior features exposed beams and sanded floors and the compact cosy rooms have a continental feel and comfortable furnishings. There are two terraces with garden table and chairs. The small town of Auchterarder has a rich historic past and is well placed between Stirling and Perth to enjoy the fine scenery and recreational pursuits of Strathearn. The area is a perfect base for touring the Trossachs, Highland Perthshire and the famous Gleneagles hotel and golf courses are close to hand. There is something for all the family to enjoy from abseiling and parachute jumping to trekking and hill walking. Golf and fishing are readily available. The cottage is situated up a small pedestrian lane off the main street in the village with shops and pub/hotels nearby.
