| Commanding beautiful views across Loch Creran to Loch Linnhe, this detached bungalow is in a lovely setting and the large private garden slopes down to the loch side providing a wonderfully secluded spot for alfresco dining or for enjoying lovely sunsets over the isles. The bungalow has been upgraded to provide a comfortable family holiday home with limited wheelchair access. Port Appin is a very picturesque village, popular for its lochside walks and views as well as the world famous Airds Hotel. The bungalow is 3 miles from the village which has a general store, post office and pub serving good food. Guests can take a ferry trip to nearby Lismore and hire bikes to explore the island. The awe inspiring scenery of Glencoe, a hill walkers paradise, is only a short drive away.1 master double bedroom with dressing room and newly refurbished en-suite bathroom, 2 double bedrooms and 1 single room, lounge with loch views and open fire, dining room, recently refurbished kitchen, utility room, bathroom (power there is a shower installed over the bath), extra separate wc. | Lochview sits on the outskirts of Appin and has a great view across farmland to Loch Linnhe, the island of Lismore and in the background are the mountains on the Isle of Mull. This semidetached bungalow has been recently upgraded with beautiful, all new fixtures and fittings, providing crisp, modern facilities. The lounge/dining room has a leather suite, wooden dining table and chairs, with a lovely electric focal point fireplace. The kitchen has oak veneer doors, black worktops/splash backs and coordinating appliances. From the kitchen you are led out into the back garden. The garden is grassy, spacious and full enclosed with outdoor seating to enjoy the view. From Lochview it is only a short stroll down to the shoreline, where you can also access a surfaced walk/cycle way. This is the old West Coast Railway Line between Oban and Ballochulish; it is being developed into a National Cycling Track. Castle Stalker (built in 1300's) can be glimpsed from the garden; it is within easy walking distance and can be visited on certain dates. From Port Appin you can take a passenger only ferry to Lismore and enjoy a day cycling on this small island. Appin has great seafood which can be found in many of the local restaurants. From this fantastic central location you can explore all that is on offer in Argyll and Lochaber. Oban is 20 miles to the South and Fort William is 26 miles to the North, both providing good shopping and leisure facilities. In Oban you can also visit a distillery, McCaigs Tower and the ferries depart for Mull & Iona, Coll, Tiree and Colonsay. There are many excellent outdoor activities, including walking, cycling, kayaking, diving, sailing, fishing, caving, climbing and skiing. The Scottish Sea Life Sanctuary is only 7 miles. Golf courses can be found at Ballachuish (9 holes) or Oban ( 18 hole). Glen Coe is only a short drive away with its magnificent mountain range and fascinating history. This area provides spectacular coastline, with abundant wildlife, stunning scenery and has something to offer all ages and interests.Property is all at ground floor level has oil central heating. |
