The rooms are all on the ground floor; the country kitchen is well equipped and has a generous dining area with a lovely pine dresser whilst the sitting room is welcoming and cosy with its open fire. There are four bedrooms - one of the doubles has a magnificent four poster bed, exposed stone work and an open fire, and there are en-suite facilities for one of the other double bedrooms. The bathroom is well appointed and has a separate shower, and outside there is a lawn to the front of the property and a decked area with seating, giving visitors the chance to make the most of the stunning views and beautiful scenery. |
| Achill is the largest of the Irish islands and is 57 square miles of stunning scenery. The island is linked to the mainland by the Michael Davitt Bridge so it is easy to access. The island has five blue flag beaches which are popular with water sports enthusiasts, but there are always secluded little spots tucked away if you want to get away from it all. There is some lovely walking to be had on the island as well as cycling and just driving round to admire the superb countryside. The island has a rich history waiting to be discovered, with a deserted village at Slievemore or the Tower at Kildavnet. This is a beautiful little island that makes it the perfect getaway for a holiday. |
