The Coach House is a detached, 19th century, stone built cottage situated within the owners' grounds on the outskirts of the attractive town of Blairgowrie. With one double bedroom and a room with two single beds, this cottage can sleep a maximum of four people. The accommodation also contains a family bathroom with a rain shower, a fitted kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room. To the outside of the cottage is off road parking for one car, lockable bike storage, a courtyard garden area with outdoor furniture and a BBQ as well as shared access to the owners' pretty garden. With the Angus Glens and the gorges of Strathmore to discover, as well as the beautiful towns of Perth and Dundee close by, The Coach House is a fabulous holiday cottage no matter what time of year you travel.

Blairgowrie is surrounded by dramatic Scottish scenery – romantic mountains, rolling hills and acres of fields (famed, in season, for their raspberry crops.) Built of red stone, Blairgowrie lies beside the salmon River Ericht, where it flows from the Strathmore gorges. The town is well-known for the Glenshee skiing centre, which is the largest of its kind in the country. It also offers ideal conditions for many other sports, including riding, walking, cycling and golfing. In fact, golfers are spoiled for choice with many excellent local courses such as Rosemount, with St Andrews and Gleneagles within easy reach of the town. Blairgowrie has excellent shops and restaurants too, and the many historic attractions in the area include Scone Palace, where 42 Scottish kings were crowned.

This property offers a wonderful base from which to discover the rich heritage this area has to offer.

Situated on the banks of the River Ericht, the red stone town of Blairgowrie makes a fabulous base for exploring the beautiful county of Perth and the lovely Angus Glens. The town is overlooked by hills and mountains, making this region superb walking, riding and cycling country. Golfers are very well catered for with many courses in the area including Rosemount and St Andrews and Gleneagles all within easy reach. Glamis Castle has a long history, and is said to be the most haunted castle in Scotland as well as the setting for Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The Beech hedge at Meikleour was planted in 1745 and is the highest in the world. With so much on offer, this is a great year round holiday destination for the whole family.

Ideally positioned in stunning surroundings with views over the Cleish Hills, this charming steading has been beautifully restored into a 2 bedroomed house. Situated at the Crook of Devon in Kinross, The Bothy offers very comfortable accommodation. Bounded by the Ochil hills, Lomond Hills, Benarty Hill and Cleish Hills with Loch Leven in the centre, Kinross only 5 miles away, enjoys a spectacular setting. Loch Leven, the largest loch of the Scottish lowlands is the main feature of this area. Declared a nature reserve in 1964, the loch is today of international importance attracting around 15,000 geese every autumn. For those with a love for wildlife, a visit to RSPB Vane Farm, part of the Loch Leven nature reserve is an ideal day out for all the family. Visit the viewing hides for some close up views of wildlife or follow the trail to the top of Vane Hill and enjoy the view! Sitting peacefully on an island in Loch Leven is the enchanting Loch Leven Castle, which is reached by a small ferry. Kinross House is an excellent piece of architecture, its gardens, which are open to the public, are some of the finest formal gardens in Scotland. For the golf enthusiast you are spoilt for choice in this area, Muckhart Golf course is just 3 miles away, Gleneagles, 14 miles and St Andrews, 23 miles. Gleneagles offers the chance to play on three of the finest championship courses in Scotland, the famous King's Course, the secluded Queen's Course and the PGA Centenary Course - venue for the 40th Ryder Cup in 2014. There is also a Golf Academy with professional coaches and the Wee Course, a 9 hole course for golfers just starting out. St Andrews Links is the home of Golf with seven golf courses which include the Old Course and the Castle Course. The courses are open to all, as are the golf practice centre and the three club houses. Just 14 miles away, Dunfermline has much to offer, and is a conservation area with a diverse mix of historic buildings and architecture. The valley of Strathmore is home to the picturesque red sandstone town of Kirriemuir. The area is acknowledged as the gateway to the unspoilt Scottish landscape of the Angus Glens, and the town is famous as the birthplace of the creator of Peter Pan – the novelist JM Barrie - whose former home is today a museum managed by the National Trust for Scotland. The town pays tribute to Barrie’s most well-known work with a statue of Peter Pan, and there are ample of other visitor attractions including an Aviation Museum, Glamis Castle, and the ancient Pictish Stones at Meigle. There is a good selection of shop, pubs and hotels in the town too. Superb hill walking and climbing is on offer in the nearby Angus Glens for outdoors enthusiasts.

There is also a large secluded garden complete with its own hide so that guests can watch the birds and red squirrels that live close by.

Located at the southern end of a picturesque and narrow glen, the village of Glenfarg is set in a sheltered position, giving the town a mild climate throughout the year. Just a short drive away is the town of Kinross and Loch Leven – both excellent places for a day trip. Surrounded by hills, Kinross is located in a stunning setting along Perthshire's southern border. Close by is a local nature reserve which is home to a high concentration of breeding ducks, migratory ducks, geese and swans which visit every autumn and winter. Loch Leven itself is also famous for its bird watching and fishing opportunities. The ruined 14th Century Loch Leven Castle, open between April and September, is within easy driving distance and is the place that Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned in 1567.
