The Property

Ty-Doli or 'Doll’s House' is a small yet enchanting stone built terraced cottage on a tiny row, close to the church in the charming riverside village of Llangattock, in the Brecon Beacons National Park. From the moment you step through the door onto the original flagged floor, you will fall in love with this quaint Wales cottage's exposed beams, tasteful furnishings and open fire. A spiral staircase leads you to the deceptively spacious first floor with charming double bedroom and shower room. If you do venture from this cosy retreat, you are right in the Brecon Beacons National Park, with fabulous walks from the doorstep, pony trekking and a steam railway ride through fantastic scenery. Crickhowell, and Abergavenny offer a great shopping experience with bakers, butchers, gift and craft shops, as well as tea rooms, restaurants and pubs. Whatever you do, this Llangattock cottage makes the perfect base.

Ideally positioned in the Brecon Beacons National Park, the pretty village of Llangattock has narrow cobbled streets, good pubs, a lovely church and a fabulous position next to the River Usk. Just across the river is the quaint town of Crickhowell, which offers a similar range of amenities including bakers, butchers, tea-rooms and gift shops. Walkers will enjoy the Brecon Beacons and the stunning scenery they provide throughout the year - from wonderful spring flowers to falling autumn leaves and winter snow. Other activities in the area include pony trekking or rides on the local Brecon Steam Railway, whilst for those interested in history the Pit and Ironworks Museums as close by, as are a number of strategic castles and tranquil abbeys.

Free standing electric heaters throughout, open fire in sitting area. Electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing/ironing service available by arrangement with owner, 2 x colour TV, DVD, CD, DVDs/books/games. Fuel, power & starter pack for open fire inc. in rent. Bed linen & towels inc. in rent. Parking in FOC public car park approx 100 yards away (park to load/unload 15 yards from cottage, no vehicle access outside cottage). Locked shed for bike storage. Back yard with furniture & BBQ. Bench in front of cottage. One small well behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1 mile, pub 2 mins walk. Note: Babes in arms & children over 8 only. Note: Spiral staircase with limited headroom, unsuitable for less mobile. Note: Back yard is directly behind cottage but is accessed via end of terraced row.
