The Property

A beautifully renovated Georgian townhouse dating from 1801, in the heart of the coastal “artists’ town” of Kirkcudbright, on the north Solway shore. The Townhouse retains much original character, and great care has been taken to enhance the wealth of architectural features including the fireplaces in the sitting room and bedroom, original polished timber floors throughout and a wide staircase with exposed beams. Refurbished and decorated to a high standard, the property boasts a bespoke country kitchen with marble worktops and beautifully designed bedrooms with kingsize beds. A short stroll takes you to the pretty harbour with its selection of shops, cafés and pubs, while quiet country roads for walking or cycling are on your doorstep. With golf, fishing and horse riding, there is something for everyone in this lovely area.

Four bedrooms: 1 x single with pull-out day bed for under 12s only (access from 1 side only), 1 x king-size double, 1 x bespoke adult bunks, 1 x 2nd floor king-size double with en-suite (bath, shower over, basin, WC). This historic town is situated on the north Solway Shore on the banks of the tidal waters of the River Dee. Kirkudbright’s harbour is still active today, and the fishing trade has always supported the town. The picturesque town centre is characterised by wide streets and pretty pastel coloured houses, as well as the fascinating ruined McLellan's Castle. Historical attractions worth a visit include the Stewartry Museum and its permanent exhibition of objects representing the history of life on the Solway coast. Known as the artists' town since the late nineteenth century and a wonderful selection of art galleries, crafts, and antique shops still thrive here today.
