The Steadings & The Steading Apartment

Two delightful properties in lovely grounds, on the rural outskirts of the village of Kinlochleven, 22 miles from Fort William. Both properties enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, and have been decorated, furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The Steadings is an impressive detached single storey house, and the larger of the two properties, with a well-equipped kitchen, while The Steading Apartment is a cosy first floor apartment of style and charm. Shadowed by imposing mountains and nestling against the renowned Loch Leven, Kinlochleven is regarded as the “Outdoor Capital of the UK”, and provides a variety of fine walks (the West Highland Way passes through the village), superb fishing opportunities and an array of watersport facilities. The Ice Factor provides a haven for climbers of all levels with its massive indoor ice walls, whilst nearby Glencoe provides fantastic sailing, snowboarding and fishing opportunities amid superb surroundings. Take a steam train journey along the West Highland Railway, the setting for some of the scenes from the Harry Potter films, or visit the historic towns of Oban and Fort William, both within easy reach. A perfect location with something for everyone.

Ideally positioned below towering mountains at the end of Loch Leven, the picturesque village of Kinlochleven is regarded as one of Scotland's prettiest settlements. The local area boasts an abundance of fantastic walks including the celebrated West Highland Way, together with excellent fishing opportunities and a wide variety of water sport facilities. Close by, there are a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants and should the weather prove too unreliable, visitors can enjoy indoor climbing at The Ice Factor - the world's largest indoor ice climbing facility. Glencoe, just seven miles away, offers some of the best scenery in Europe in addition to superb mountaineering, snowboarding, fishing and sailing opportunities. The mountain has also inspired craft centres and a fascinating Folk Museum with a visitor’s centre portraying the story of the Massacre of Glencoe.
