An outbuilding is available to offer secure storage for bicycles, golf clubs and fishing equipment. There are many facilities on offer within this welcoming village, which has recently achieved the Silver Gilt award in the beautiful Scotland competition, with its fountain within the lovely square, several old church buildings and a working water mill. There are ample local facilities available and all within a gentle stroll of The Cottage and several stunning beaches within 3 to 4 miles with superb walking in the nearby Lammermuirs. For being so close to Scotland's capital city, East Linton has managed to successfully retain its essentially rural charm and can be found snuggled between Haddington (6), North Berwick (6) and Dunbar (6) ensuring this is an excellent base to explore this region. The popular coastal holiday destination of Dunbar, where it's reported to boast the longest sunshine hours in the UK offers a wide array of facilities. This area is renowned for its excellent cycle trails and several championship golf courses and visitors will enjoy experiencing the many attractions close by, including the Scottish Museum of Flight and The John Muir Country Park. Good train services (North Berwick or Dunbar) or local bus, takes you to the heart of the cultural city of Edinburgh, renowned for its festivals, arts and music venues, superb castle and Medieval buildings (not forgetting a spot of retail therapy!) along the Royal Mile
