Well equipped and very comfortably furnished with a lovely woodburning stove for those cooler evenings, it is a warm and cosy retreat from which to discover the many delights of this wonderful coastline and contrasting landscapes of natural beauty. It is an absolute haven for outdoor and wildlife enthusiasts, with walking, cycling, golf, fishing and horse riding available locally, with the Galloway Forest Park within easy reach. Take a gentle stroll along the shoreline or amble through the winding country lanes and enjoy the peace and tranquillity, which attracts people year after year. The village has a heritage museum, everyday shopping, cafe, 2 pubs serving food and is surrounded by numerous pretty villages offering excellent dining facilities and places to visit. |
