Dunfanaghy offers something for everyone, from horse-riding to golf, a browse around the art galleries, or simply a walk along the beach.

In the north west of Donegal in the wonderfully unspoilt Sheephaven Bay is the village of Dunfanaghy, just 50 miles from Derry airport. Here is a landscape that modern Ireland has left untouched. Within a 5 mile radius of the village there are 175 recorded archaeological sites, but if that doesn't tempt you there are miles of golden sandy beaches in all directions and fantastic walks along Horn Head. The property offers spacious comfortbale living with added bonus of Plasma TV in lounge area and a fantastic setting ideal for evening get togethers. The centre of Dunfanaghy is a small square with a market house built in 1847 and a quay built in 1831. There are four churches. The village is also home to a golf club, several art galleries and craft shops, and a museum, situated in part of a former workhouse, which describes the effects of the Irish Potato Famine on Dunfanaghy.
For the birdwatchers - stroll along any of the beaches and you are sure to encounter the Oyster Catcher, Tern, Sanderling, and Dunlin, not forgetting the Cormorant and the Grey Heron.
