| Location and historic character are the main attractions of this enchanting prestigious house equipped and furnished to excellent quality standards. Original beams fireplaces and mullioned and leaded windows dating from 1620 combine with 'country living' style modern furnishings making this a really special holiday home enjoying far reaching views across the Hope Valley and surrounding hills from its peaceful position on a quiet side road. The private enclosed rear garden has terraces and an elevated deck from which to relax and admire the wonderful views. A five minute stroll to iconic Peveril Castle the Peak Cavern and the five pubs restaurants cafes 'Blue John' craft shops galleries and village store in this very popular village. The area is a walking wonderland with limestone dales and high moorland to explore. Chatsworth House Lyme Park (NT) Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath and many other attractions within a half hour drive. Buxton 10 miles. Golf fly fishing and pony trekking 6 miles. Summer swimming 7 miles. |
