Grantown-on-Spey 2 miles. A traditional detached cottage situated in an elevated position amidst beautiful highland countryside, on the outskirts of Grantown-on-Spey. Boasting uninterrupted views over Spey Valley and the Cairngorm mountains, this cosy accommodation offers two light and airy bedrooms, a well-equipped fitted kitchen with dining facilities and a comfortable sitting room with access to the delightful conservatory, providing a great base from which to explore this stunning part of Scotland. Grantown has a good selection of shops and restaurants, whilst the surrounding countryside boasts an array of cycling, walking and wildlife spotting opportunities and, of course, fishing on the beautiful River Spey! With numerous outdoor activities within easy driving distance, such as great golf, tennis and seasonal skiing at any of the fantastic ski centres in the area, this charming property has plenty to offer at any time of year.

Grantown on Spey is situated in the centre of the Scottish Highlands and is only 12 miles from Aviemore. It is a traditional Highland town on the River Spey, located on the northern edge of the outstanding Cairngorms National Park, which is recognised as a Special Area of Conservation. The town itself is surrounded by Anagach Woods - ancient Scots Pine woodlands, which offer a unique habitat for a wide variety of wildlife. The woods date back to 1766, have way marked trails and there is walking for all abilities. There are also numerous other walks and trails around the town, offering spectacular views over the surrounding hills and mountains. The town’s Square and High Street are lined with unique and interesting shops and businesses, selling everything from children’s clothes to whisky and fishing lines to pottery. There are numerous cafes, bars and restaurants, offering a wide range of meals, drinks and snacks to suit all tastes.
