Two miles from, but within access across a bridge to, the bustling little fishing village of Portmagee, this newly built property is welcoming and decorated with fine and quality furnishings. It stands off the road and looks out across splendid views of the Portmagee Channel and is under a mile's walk from a shingle beach. The stone porch way is one of the attractive features, along with timber floors and a bright, spacious feel to the interior. The extensive views all around take in mountains, countryside and the Atlantic coastline. Many activities are available in the area.

Take a trip to the Skellig Islands, and drive a short distance to nearby Cahirsiveen, or explore the beaches along this part of Kerry, which are numerous and many, safe and sandy, and within 10 minutes' drive. The house is stunning, and surrounded by the natural environment.
The natural beauty of Valentia island is one of the most rural and unspoilt in Kerry. It is a haven for those who wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of towns and traffic and is a getaway for all who wish to be inspired artistically. There are a wealth of walks, coves and views to be discovered and the incredibly changing landscape is one of the best in Kerry. From sea and water views, to fields and mountains, walking, climbing and the great outdoors are easily accessible in this area.
Many shingle beaches are scattered around Valentia and it is a short drive over a connecting bridge from the island to the town of Portmagee, where traditions and customs are still very obvious in this Gaelic community. Once a smugglers' port, the town is every bit the place of storytelling, fishermen and superb fish dishes using locally caught produce.
Just a ten-minute drive away and you are on the Ring of Kerry main route, and all its attractions. Nearby Waterville has many sandy beaches and a seaside feel. Cahirsiveen is a town of heritage, shops and many excellent pubs and restaurants. All other attractions are easily accessible from here and a drive around the main route is enough of a stunning journey to keep everyone satisfied.

Places to visit in the area are the Skelligs, the candle workshop on the other side of the island, the chocolate factory, and the arts and crafts centre in Waterville. The wild and wonderful Atlantic views are stunning and will leave you breathless and with a feeling of standing on the edge of the world. For a location that is a little different and a home base that will welcome you, this is a fantastic choice.
