Proudly claiming a milling heritage dating from the time of William the Conqueror this Grade II listed truly historic water mill offers a wonderful holiday opportunity for larger groups. The restoration has preserved the unique qualities ancient beams narrow staircases old mill wheels and flour chutes are retained – whilst adding modern amenities and comfortable and attractive furnishings to the rustic interior. In a blissfully peaceful meadowland setting extending 10 acres upstream this lovely property stands beside the mill pond (right photograph). Ashbourne with its good shopping cafés and restaurants is 6 miles and Derby's theatres cinema and Crown Derby factory and shop are just 8 miles away as are both Dovedale and the Peak District National Park. Alton Towers Carsington Lake's watersports and several N.T. properties lie within a short drive. Golf locally fishing 500 yards cycle hire 5 miles. Village shop and pub ¾ mile.
